MS has around $300 billion in the bank making interest. Buying Mojang for $2.5 billion nets them $150 million a year, brand power, and one of the most popular video games since WoW. The $150 million a year is more than the interest they would have made with it just sitting in the bank. In addition to owning Minecraft, it was a pretty smart business move.
I want to see VR working perfectly before adapting it to this game. as of now we have just seen low end graphics (for full VR worlds not ports)

I played a demo of this at the Toronto Fan Expo. It is VERY pretty, but from what I played I have to agree with this article. it's nothing groundbreaking new. The game is fun and you will have fun with it, just don't expect "game of the year"
I skipped Halo 4, so this is a no brainer buy for me. Looks great and the best part is we already kn ow how it plays! some of the best MP sessions I have ever had was with Halo.

MS is already producing software. I doubt they will abandon the Xbox brand, much like Sony would be silly to abandon their TV brand.
