Exclusives do matter.
XBox became popular off of Halo, Gears and to a certain degree, Forza. But history has proven that you can't rely on the same three franchises to sell your console forever.
The sooner you accept that, the better.

Microsoft doesn't own PC. They own Windows, which is computer software.
PC is a gaming platform. If they have games on PC, then they're considered multiplat!

I've mentioned several times that costumers aren't buying a console just mutiplats that looks slightly better. There has to be enticing exclusives to draw them in.

BC is a luxury, not an incentive. When it becomes popular, then you'll see Sony pull the stops to get BC on the PS4.
