They probably had enough problems already, and then their source code had to get stolen and get put online where anyone could see it, wise move moving to a new engine.
Nice to hear that some devs feel this way, it was ridiculous when i saw that just to get a "shortcut pack" on Battlefield 4 (which is just weapon and vehicle upgrades) cost $50 which is money-grabbing to put it lightly.

I guess they changed their minds about this being the last one, don't mind though because even after this installment there will be stories to tell and remember that the games are based off of the books so there could be more in the future.
"honestly couldn’t be done on any other console" is pushing it a bit far, of course it will be different on 360 because they have to downgrade it a little and its being done by a different studio for the 360 therefore making it not the same as Xbox One version but of course this game could be done on the PS4.

Dude did you not read the article? It has nothing to do with Xbox one, it HAS been downgraded because they have to put it on last gen hardware that is nearly 10 years old, it is a miracle they are even getting it to work on the 360 and ps3.

The new Witcher (The Witcher 3) is open-world but if your talking about the second one i can understand that and it was so annoying to slowly jog from place to place in big spaces in The Witcher 2.
Guys just imagine what the downloadable content menu would look like: HELLO CUSTOMER! DID YOU SEE THE NEW PRISTINE VAULT SHOTGUN FOR JUST A LOW PRICE OF $3.00?! or the new Brotherhood armor for $4.00?!
