Because alot of people feel like rubbing turn10's words in their face. They bragged about diffinitive this and 10x more that and other guys dropping the ball and this guy being stale. Judging by the fact that a 2 year old demo looks just as impressive if not better than their new, full release game, they tanked, and they tanked hard.

the biggest reason for gt5:P looking more realistic is that the cars reflect the ambient colour. Look at the ferrari, and there is the slightest blue reflection from the sky over the whole thing. Whether the guys from turn 10 couldnt or didnt think to implement this is the only mystery.
Personally i like GT's head and tail lights better too.

I love how everyone ignores the existance of KZ2 and how it thumps everyone of these games in every possible reguard (Bar destructability, which yes, BC takes hands down).
People who hate it should try playing it with an open mind and the controls set to alternate 2 (I think.... Its MW but awesome)
I know what its like, having a 360 with loads of games and accesories. Its like sinking $500 into a pokie machine and not winning. You are invested in it, but you have to draw the line somewhere and cut your losses.
I implore you, the next time your 360 dies, sell it on ebay. there is a massive market for the things. Then sell your games and accesories.

I think the point is GT5P still holds its own and we can play that now. I do. Quite often. Its gorgeous. And it handles like a dream. And its good enough that even with just a handfull of tracks I prefer to play it over shift, or dirt, or Supercar challenge.
