That was the one time they got lucky. Sony screwed up with the PS3 launch and pricing.
That's the good it holds up it's frame rate in gameplay. In cutscenes, it seems to drop some frames.
People were mad that the gore was toned down. But the game did everything else better including performance on the PS3 back in the day.
I knew it; I was getting a Sigma 2 feel from this version. We also gotta remember the three females weren't playable until the first two Sigma games.

They can use the PS5 as some sorter excuse. But everyone who's been gaming for as long as some have. They all know the PlayStation brand has more recognition than the Xbox brand.
Also, Microsoft is reeling from the mess that was E3 2013, which was the kick teeth that killed whatever momentum Microsoft had with the Xbox brand.
I think people are blowing this out of proportion. At least, I would like to think so.

Sega did damage to themselves. Poor management and a whole lot of things.
How is it removing a competitor? When the competitor seems to want to leave? People can pretend that Sony is somehow the problem here.
