people might wanna get over the whole 'OMG we have to install' nonsense. You to install so what ? This game is awesome and to spend a few minutes installing this is not something folks should be crying about.
Interesting. Let me try to predict whats going to happen in this post : PS3 fans will come out screaming, "OMG BD is teh sh!t, dvd is teh useless". 360 fans will reply, 'devs sucks and they can't use compression"

I think it works with all versions but my advice would be to wait a day or two more before updating to see if it is really safe to update it.
