I wouldn't say it's sad a 360 owner doesn't know the color of the light when it breaks. I'd say that's a good thing, ie, he's never experienced it.
Considering they're replacing them for free and have extended their warranty periods to try and make amends, I don't think that'd go over very well.
I'd assume you'd have to prove they're dangerous (haven't heard of any fires yet!), or that they had full knowledge of the problem beforehand.
Or that they made claims on the box that they didn't deliver upon, which isn't true to my knowledge.

Along with FunnyBone's comments about the picture, I have an issue with the date.
I got my 360 back from RRoD about 3 weeks ago. The date on the new console? April 7th, 2006. Somehow I doubt Microsoft just sends you the first one they find laying around, and this guy got one two weeks old.
Not to mention that even mine from 06 doesn't have the loud fan, nor does it get nearly as hot. And wasn't heat the problem?

With the 360s option to play the movie as you download it, I only wait about 30 seconds before I can play. To do a full download (it's been awhile), I'd say around 30 minutes. How long does a run to the video store take? Not much less.
But I do agree as long as there's limits on bandwidths out there, digital distrubition won't hit it big.
