I agree with what most are saying. I've always stated Nintendo only gets praised due to nostalgia. If memory serves right Nintendo last original IP was Splatoon, dropped back in 2015. Sony and Microsoft are asked to drop new IPs and not rehash or do to many sequels, but that's never the case for Nintendo. Unfortunately alot of developers get paid bonuses depending on their metacritic score, while it's current 88 is by far no slouch, I believe 90 would scored them a higher bonus, IF Sony even does what others do regarding scores
