I'm a die-hard Xbox fan but I've always thought it was cheap and greedy for them to charge for services that should be free. Services that I already have paid for separately should be free! I don't mind paying for the multiplayer I still think Xbox has the best way to play online gaming but the rest they charge for like netflix should be free. It is just pure greed shame on Microsoft.
Cod multiplayer owns battlefield on every release. You can whine about user base all you like but if something is truly better it will do better.
I think carmack knows his stuff hardware and software wise. This being said he can say what he wants but I think he has spent 5 real minutes with the user side of kinect and was not very good using it. I have owned kinect since release and me and my family have enjoyed it's unique experience.
Kinect 2 is going be all the more fun.

The game market is freaking huge and both Sony and MS have tons of money and support and user base and a healthy amount that will own and enjoy both machines.
I can't wait for kinect 2.0 It's dtime to move forward and offer something beyond the controller. I am not saying abandon the controller as it will always have it's place but I have been a gamer since combat and adventure was king. I think it is a very cool immersion kinect can bring to a game. it's no holodeck but is a start.
The game market is big enough for all, I don't see why there is so much complaining.
Sony has no room to say MS pulled this or that. When they was trying to sell people on the PS3 there was 2 strong selling points they kept pushing
PS2 backward compatibility.. they reversed that in a big hurry!
What about dual booting ??? They took that away as well!

Publishers when they make a good game make money the way it is. People say MS is the greedy one and I think the Publishers are the most greedy! IF they make a good enough game they will make there money from those of us who will buy it day one! But to try to manage what we the gamers, we the ones who make there paycheck possible try to tell us that they deserve money on games they have already been paid for then they are out of the freaking minds!

Another thing is people are saying maybe they will do an about face or there is enough time for them to reverse course. I think every day really counts, I have already given up on them and pre-ordered a PS4 and even if they supposedly try to save face it is too little too late for me. I have paid for gold since 2007 and now I am going to be happy to become a PS+ member.

I don't think they rushed it. If Anything these consoles should have been out a couple of years ago. It's not the XBOX One hardware I take issue with, it is the INSANE restrictions they are trying to impose on we the gamers. I have been a huge fan of the 360 since 2007 but now after this crap I have preordered the mighty PS4.. So long Microsoft you are greedy and are taking orders from the likes of EA and Activision whereas you should be taking orders from WE THE GAMERS!
