OH MY FREAKING GOD!
I just had that feeling like the first time I saw Shenmue's trailer of Ryo walking around Dobuita playing darts, video games, buying crap and fighting thugs.
Based on that trailer I think this might just be the greatest game ever.
I liked Yakuza 1&2 but this is on another level. Seriously, looks insane. Welcome back Sega.
I think Immersion was asking for $1 per console. 120 million from Sony 25 million from MS. Microsoft settled for the 25 million, Sony took it to court and ended up having to pay anyway.
Some seriously slick legal work by MS to get that clause in the settlement. Can't believe Immersion agreed to pay MS, and from Sony's money no less.
I wonder why they never went after Nintendo?
Huh, I didn't know you could use a usb keyboard. I guess I've never really tried it because I always heard you needed an adapter.
Just for the record I do think the chat pad attachments are stupid. Then again I don't play much online or chat much on consoles.
Where Sony got it so right is you can use any cheapo keyboard mouse with your PS3. I guess Microsoft got that so wrong?
Who cares if it's on the top? Who uses their freaking thumbs for the 360 one? Nobody. It's faster and easier to use your index finger.
Not to mention, I don't even thing the PS3 keypad needs to be plugged into the top of the controller, it's a standalone bluetooth device.
He says numerous flaws but doesn't say what they are. Only that it copies Silent Hill (Ironic considering the Creator of Silent Hill does the Siren series now)
I actually like this game a heck of a lot more than the latest Silent Hill games which have been getting worse and worse. It has a crap load more variety in gameplay and scares. The enemies are somewhat monsters but you realize still somehow human which is a really original and creepy.
Nothin a little photoshop cant fix :D
Well Microsoft is probably 100% better to be owned by then Nintendo, at least in Rareware's case. Even though their games were much better back then, I've still heard all the horror stories of the crap Nintendo and put them through.
From what I heard Burnout Paradise and this one are the only games that where confirmed PS3 was the lead platform. The vast majority are developed on the 360 and then are ported to the PS3 because doing it that way is cheaper and faster than building the game on the PS3 dev tools.
Awesome! Lately EA has really made a concerted effort to prove they can develop great games on the PS3(Mirrors Edge) so I have confidence they will do a good job.
Seriously? He should have to pay EA and Sony damages for filing such a retarded lawsuit.
He's actually pretty smart. The only reason he is recognizable is because he is outspoken. I mean his credits sure don't add up to someone with his reputation.
He created a below average fighter in DOA and a 3D update to the great Ninja Gaiden series. He did a good job of capturing the feel of the games in 3D but the originals were still much better. I also find it pretty sad that a 20 year old game is more cinematic than its next gen console "upgrades". So what else ha...
I think this is like the 3rd or 4th story on the same video....
360 doesn't have rumble either. It's a fighting game though so it doesn't matter much.
Identical....
I doubt it would be part of a firmware update. It will probably be an application on one of the next few PSN store updates.
Why in gods name would anyone want to listen to different music in SC? It has an epic soundtrack.
and the 360 version doesn't have rumble either.
Final Fantasy 12 over Snake Eater?
Dear lord what a horrible, horrible mistake. :o
Well if 70% say its worth it, no wonder Microsoft can keep charging for it. I don't play online enough to justify a years subscription personally, so I go monthly off and on. Which also means every time I let my subscription run out I get haggled by Microsoft's service mail and calls trying to get me to re join.
But yea XBL is more integrated so its also more seamless than PSN. But both do the basic job equally besides that.
Waaaaaaa? Was Haze even hyped much? I don't remember hearing much about it until it got a 4.5 from IGN. and wasn't Ubisoft the publisher? How is that Sony's marketing department.
Not only that but Gears graphics makes Killzone graphics look like school fete? I mean Gears looks great but Killzone looks pretty great too. The graphics actually looks better than the original trailer in many regards.
And didn't Microsoft play a CG trailer to announce Halo 3.
Definitely, but it's more accurate to say Dead Rising has Yakuza style combat. You could always pick up random stuff and use them to smash other people in Yakuza. ;)
