The name of the curious poster is Towers76 not Tower6 I would know this because that's me. Just thought I'd clear that up...

You're probably right. I keep forgetting that the Wii's success has brought in a whole new "casual" audience into the gaming fold. In which case Demon's Soul definitely not a game for them. No doubt the fella who wrote this review probably falls into that group.
Note to the author:
All the fancy phrasing in the world will not make you a better gamer. Just practice more. Yes I know the game is unforgiving and difficult but if you buck up and put forth a bit of effort you may experience some success. After all, console gaming can be about more than just twitch shooters and turn-based rpgs. There's plenty of room out there for offbeat games like Demon's Soul.
Yeah I'm of the same mind. Between Sigma 2, Demon's Soul, Dante's Inferno and GoW 3 I've got plenty of action games to play for the next couple of months. Some people have written off Dante's as nothing more than a GoW rip but I'm fine with that considering that Visceral Games has proven they know how to port to the PS3 successfully (see: Dead Space). Maybe next time Platinum Games will make an effort on the PS3. Assuming that there will be a next time. If they alienate the PS3 audience ...
Yes I meant 20 bucks per game for a two-game volume.
Fits that report perfectly.
I thought the demo was okay. I can't see this game being anything more than a rental.
I think this is a great deal. Basically 20 bucks for HD, wide screen versions of the games. If Sony continues with this business model for re-issuing PS2 games at a relatively cheap price then I'm all for it. I'm a little disappointed that this will probably mean there won't be an on line store for PS2 games on the PSN though. I'm also curious if any of the major 3rd parties follow suite and re-issue their games.
That is all....
Yeah I forgot about the lousy multiplayer. Then again this game released shortly before CoD5. Talk about bad timing for any game with a multiplayer component. I never did play with the level editor so I can't much attest to it's quality but I'm all for any kind of user generated content. Maybe it's something Ubi will expand on in future shooters they release.
I had the same problem with Far Cry 2 that I had with Assassin's Creed the year before: I loved the first couple of hours then it's just the same missions over and over. Though to be fair FC2 did have more area to explore and the occasional unique mission to undertake. Either way I thought it was a decent game that deserved most of the reviews it initially got. If you find it in a bargain bin for $20 or less then absolutely go for it.
There's been a few of them over at the US Playstation blog recently about Heavy Rain. The more coverage I see on the game the more I'm starting to warm up to it. These new screens look great too. I seem to recall a story here on n4g a few days back confirming a demo. I hope it's true and not more wild rumors.
I use to hate that about owning a 360. You'd think that all the people chatting away would get the hint when you yawn and/or sigh but no they just keeping on going.
Seeing as this is a European event and it is Rockstar North developing Agent, it's very likely that some footage will be shown. I doubt it'll be full on gameplay but some snippets of gameplay mixed in with cinematics would be my guess. It'll be just enough to start all the message board guessing games, what-if articles and hyper analysis the internet is known for.

Any word on a demo for this game? I'm curious as to how it controls with the nub and two less shoulder buttons..
about the poor chick who'll have to go out with the guy that wins this contest? I mean come on now let's think about the kind of dudes that would attend Comic-Con. Hopefully the guy that wins will have the courtesy to shower and put on a nice, washed, non-comic/gaming related shirt for the date.
......I wish I was at Comic-Con...
For anyone interested in the awesome soundtrack to this game, you can buy it here:

Can't say I agree. The beer industry has seen rising profits the last few months and they still haven't entered into their busiest time of year yet. It's a nice way to pass the time and a cheaper alternative to doing so than say video games. Though the two together equal awesome...
..for an inevitable tax on all "interactive entertainment" products. Just like smokers have been taxed endlessly so too will they do it to gamers.
