He wears his heart on his sleeve, and when I got an email saying "Never before have tears ran down my cheeks from pure emotion when I couldn't even really pinpoint one reason why because it was cumulative" I knew this was going to be something special
Yeah, I think some people are afraid to give it any love because of all of the Internet craziness. I legitimately love this game. The story is so incredibly deep!
That's totally your choice, but I think that your perception of "digital" is a bit skewed and maybe even old-fashioned (says the guy turning 42 next week...)

The way the dev cycle works, a demo isn't a good representation of the final product. Also, not enough changes every year that can be displayed in a demo, so it's not worth it to them to spend the time and money to create one.

Seriously? $30 for a huge game, cross-buy for all 3 platforms, and you want a price drop? If it was on disc, it'd be $60 for ONE platform.
