I don't think so. it's not probable that Nintendo will strike gold again like they did with the Wii. a lot of Wii owners are now splashing hard money on things like the iPhone, iPad, Galaxy phones/tabs etc. Ninty now has to convince gamers, people who probably already own either a PS3, 360 or gaming PC to buy a Wii U. Casuals moved on. I'm stating the obvious but it's true, no other way of proving my point.
I almost feel as though Nintendo is rushing the Wii U...
no dude it doesn't work like that I'm sorry :p
it runs Rayman at 30fps? that would be disappointing, 2 screen streaming or not. Origins ran at 60fps on 360/PS3. I think it was also a 1080p.
or is Rayman Legends a completely different style to Origins (i.e. is it 3D and now 25
@vsr
this is a Square Enix game, made by them, published by them. all those other games you listed were Sony Computer Entertainment games, so your argument is invalid.
and in any case Final Fantasy XIV for PS3 is looking at a Q4 2012 / Q1 2013 release so I doubt Versus would release in the same time frame.
if Versus XIII isn't shown at TGS I will personally storm the Square Enix HQ, walk into the First Production Offices and ask Mr. Nomura:
"what the flying f*** are you doing??"
mark my words.
I think PES5 will forever be known as the best football game ever made. even on PSP that game was perfection.
cool stuff bro
the Nintendo Defence Force in all their glory.
and then itsLugia will complain about being disagreed by General's many accounts loool
it could be fake because all that footage in the video is old footage of Final Fantasy Versus XIII.
Nomura specifically said that he'll be showing off new footage running directly off the PS3 the next time the game is shown. then again this is a small pre-E3 showing so maybe they're just saving the new footage for a public reveal. I dunno just my 2c.
trust me bro, don't waste your money on that shovelware.
if you loved Black Ops you will almost certainly hate MW3. I can't believe MW3 got the scores it did. crime of the freaking centuary I rate.
but isn't Greg Miller the biggest Sony fanboy in the world? I mean he has the photo of I think the (now former) President of Sony on his desk. he gave Uncharted 3 a 10. so you'd think he'd give a Playstation game a better score, no?
this means nothing for new consoles. they're going to run it on a PC, maybe Wii U. trust me if Microsoft were indeed planning an E3 showcase of a new console, it would have leaked by now, and I mean proper leaks of info from reputable websites and sources.
also, Square Enix have been showing off tiny bits of their next generation engine, Luminous, for a while. did we see new consoles arrive too? nope.
next generation begins in 2013.
don't feel bad. I love this game loads but as a student I can't afford shelling out €70 for a new game. so I don't blame anyone for not buying a game at original price.
game publishers need to realize that they will sell more games (especially new IPs) by selling the game cheaper. it's common sense, an easy to understand business model. games that sell in their millions might not make as much money, but lesser known titles (the majority) will benefit.
well, look what going multiplatform did to some of our favourite franchises.
imagine, just imagine if Final Fantasy XIII stayed exclusive...
very very nice list. all those games are huge heavy hitters. if I had to choose one that I'm most pumped for it would be Versus XIII but I'm definitely getting all 5. 2013 will be one crazy year for gaming (at the expense of 2012 which is looking pretty dry right now)
PC is a console?
OK
yea. I was really looking forward to this game, and was disappointed in hearing the delay. I guess from a PS3 gamer's point of view a little bit more time to make the PS3 version as good as the 360's.
Metro: Last Light
God of War: Ascension
Tomb Raider
Crysis 3
LittleBigPlanet Karting
and the two big ones, Final Fantasy X HD & Versus XIII. c'mon Square Enix pleeeease
don't think too many Europeans will be worried though.
Europe is basically PS3-land
