Lol that dudes cake compared to bison from super turbo or Gill from 3rd strike.
Really happy they mentioned the last boss from Shinobi. That guy on the hardest difficulty is so tough. U gotta be perfect and not get hit all while your own weapon sucks life outta you! The End from MGS3 is pretty Damn awesome too! Good list
I haven't played it yet, I knew it was coming for PS3 sooner or later for sure. Now I have the chance to finally play ME2 and I know theres a lot of people who haven't played it yet.
Exactly, that's why I love the genre, it still retains it's difficulty from years past. Honestly anyone who really finds the genre overly difficult is either young or hasn't grown up in an arcade competitive environment. Just take a little time like we did when we were kids, observed others playing styles, and you'll see how good you can become.
While I do agree with some things in this article I don't think that the controls are the real problem. I honestly don't find the controls or moves that difficult at all. It's how you apply them in a match that really matters. I think of fighting games as a high speed chess match. Most people don't realize you need to learn other dynamics of a match like anti-airs, frame advantage, cross ups etc. While I think this is the complicated part, that is also why it is so much more r...
Fighting games have evolved a lot more gameplay wise than most other genres. Although I think it takes someone who plays them regularly to really see the changes. Whether it be 3v3, 2v2, super combos, super cancels, roll cancels, snap backs, fadcs etc.
They've already tried this with TvC, and while it was a success I think it was on the wrong system (The Wii). If developers can somehow retain the competitive and skillful nature of fighting games while still simplifying to the masses, that would be fantastic. Fighting games are incredibly hard to balance anyway, so blending a hardcore facet with simpler controls would be a daunting task for developers.
Yes, VF is the best and most skilled 3d fighter, no doubt. There's a new version of VF5 that might make it to consoles. Cross ur fingers
I didn't ask for it, but any real fighting game fan would be ecstatic after seeing the gameplay
I know right, I can't go past like 3 hours. Too much for me lol
Gotta go outside and do something!
Most likely will be Darkstalkers. I would be surprised if it isn't, as he as been extremely desperate to make another game.
BTW, Evo 2010 has been amazing! SSFIV final coming up and Justin Wong has already been knocked out! Get Hype!
His best album in a long time.
Agreed, Raiden has redeemed his pansy @ss self from MGS2 in this incarnation
I'm still excited for this game and this focuses on Raiden. He's a ninja bad*ss, you think he's gonna sneak around everywhere. His transformation into this seperate game looks very interesting. As long as it has a decently fluid and more complex battle system then I'm all for it.
Honestly I'm thinking about getting one, as long as the hardware is a lot better and they bring out more exclusives. There are a lot who still don't have a 360, but I honestly want more variety from the games and not just shooters. I know that sounds like a typical fanboy comment, but it's kinda true. Although Gears 3 is one of my most anticipated games next year.
I am excited for this, even though it may not be deep in fighting mechanics, to this day I still love the fatalities! If you want to get into fighting games seriously I would probably go with SSF4 or Tekken both pretty easy to get into and also have some depth.
On a side note I'm loving the MK movie pitch trailer!! Looks fantastic!!
Poor Jonny Cage, no one loves you :(
God I hate the name Kinect, and people thought the Move was a stupid name.
Move, Wii, or Kinect? Which one sounds the worst?
Agreed, looks like a blast!
FIFA 10 is easily the most realistic and best football game to date. If you don't like it that probably means that you completely suck at it and are a hater.
I play SF all year so I'm not complaining, I could see myself playing this game for years. For those who don't like this I could see where you're coming from, but if you're not totally engrossed into the game. I don't see why you're even playing SF to be honest. It's incredibly deep and that is how you get the most fun and best competition out of it.
Lol you would get rocked by daigo, you're just bein a salty slug
