The reason everyone is so fearful of this is because Microsoft has been linked the now-maligned US government's PRISM national security program.

It was supposed to do everything, but you can't compete with both the PS4 and the Wii U. It had to be one or the other, and MS didn't choose.

I'll be going physical so I can trade games I've finished to get money for new ones.
As long as they release before Christmas, I'm good. I don't have the money to burn for one on launch day, so unless the difference is significant, the impact is not substantial. Most people don't buy at launch anyway, as they want to get first opinions on how good a console is and it's features before they go out shelling $400+.
I just hope that PS4/Vita bundle is true. Even at $550, I'd buy the shit out of it.
