MS's situation can change quickly. Their biggest form of income is from Microsoft Office and like everything else they own, demand is decreasing.
In fact, nearly half of Microsoft’s 2013 profits came from the Business division alone.
Who cares? It's not like there is cross-platform play and you will be at a disadvantage. Like someone else said this franchise will be milked like a cow, eventually there will be more content available than you care to buy.

I can't imagine the gaming industry if MS called the shots, I probably wouldn't be a gamer because gaming would be one of the biggest scams in entertainment.
Sony on the other hand has proven throughout history that they will not take advantage of the customer and has even given the finger to shareholders in favor of their customers.

This is why PlayStation will dominate. Sony gives the finger to the shareholders, not the customer. More customers means more investors, not the other way around.

I agree. Most people don't understand that AAA mobile gaming only works when you are sitting indoors with headphones on and if you are going to be doing that then most likely you will be playing on PC/console. Anywhere else you are better off with shorter experiences. I've tried playing AAA blockbusters while traveling or outdoors and it's so difficult you wont want to save your game because of everything you miss along with the lack of focus.

Mainstream trends in gaming seem to run their course for around 10 years. COD4 came out in 2007, by 2017 they will be practically giving it away if I'm right, but you will always have stragglers that will cling till the end.
