Yeah, but regardless.. It's better to wait and have a game that's amazing on reception and gets high scores that are actually due, rather than ones that have been pushed partly by prior hype.
Imagine if the most recent patch had come at launch for Skyrim! There wouldn't have been anywhere near as much backlash from fans. - Of course, it's not just Skyrim.. Skyrim is just the most recent example that shines through.
If only Bethesda did that with Skyrim..
