i actually think thats a really good question. even if they dont crash and burn this time and end up doing ok, maybe they (sony) will just consider it too risky. its sooo expensive now. guess we'll just have to wait and see

i think the xbox360 suits the aussie life style a bit more than the ps2 did or the ps3 will (i think). its just got this image about it that we prefer. and thats truly why i think its doing better.

i always just considered the DS the new gameboy, but without "gameboy" in it. i doubt they'd release 2 portable consoles - the only difference being one has a touch screen.
you can judge based on reputation! the frigteners and lord of the rings were both great movies. king kong did financially well. and there's a bunch of other cool ones that he did with Wingnut in NZ before he got too famous

New Zealand has had a silver ps2 slim line for ages and ages. go the noel leeming site (in new zealand) and have a look. this is strang though.
i dunno if your australian or a kiwi, but in NZ EB games has been taking pre-orders for ps3's for like 6 months. seriously. i ordered one (then cancelled it when i decided i wanted a xbox360:D)
