Jeff did not review AC, it was Kevin VanOrd. It's curious because AC also had the same ad-skinning on gamespot, which clearly affected the all-too-flattering review. Guess Jeff didn't want to play ball and give a mediocore game a good score. Good for him. I'll be getting my game-info from somewhere else from now on, gamespot lost the last remaining shreds of credibility with Jeff.

I totally loved POP 1 and 3. I disliked AC from the get go. The sci-fi backstory is distracting, awkward and unnecessary, it doesn't pull you in like in POP, it's just an annoyance. The game doesn't do anything to challenge or inspire you. I get what it aims for, a bit of POP, a bit of GTA, Hitman and Shadow Of The Colossus, but there isn't anything that ties it all together. It doesn't have that spirit..
there's nothing next gen about it. it's definetly more linear than gta, the ai is crap, the stealth is ten steps back from the first hitman (you can't even disguise yourself), and the graphics are choppy and buggy (atleast on the ps3). it's just a shadow of the colossus and hitman copycat, and a bad one at that.. then again, I haven't seen any games worthy of calling next gen yet, maybe mass effect will do it. uncharted certainly has true next gen graphics, but it's a pretty trad game (nothin...

remember those huge ac ads on gamespot before the release? hence the 9 from them. if you want good and unbiased reviews, get them from independent sites that don't get five figure income from ads.

amen, brother. after playing the uncharted demo this looked meh. framerate definetly sucks more than it should. and it's only 720p when uncharted is full 1080p. the animation is better too imo.

I disagree. I'm having lots of fun with fifa. I think the AI is great. You definetly can't run with the ball straight to the goal like in PES. Don't judge by the demo, you can tinker with the settings to get it work for you (albeit not as much as in PES). I admit PES might still have 0,1% edge on the fun-factor though, but I'd rather play a game that is 0,1% less playable if I can look at it without being frustrated as hell. Plus the online-"features" are a joke in PES compared to F...
Do yourself a favour ppl and get fifa (atleast on ps3). You'll be a lot happier. I was a PES-man myself until I played the 2008 version. I felt cheated out of my money. Fifa is the way to go this year. 5 on 5 online action, stellar licence, more realistic gameplay, next gen graphics, tons of modes, the works. Just bought COD4 but haven't almost touched it at all, Fifa online is too addicting :-)
