The thing is when are reviews allowed to be subjective? This isn't OPINION it's a review, that's bias right there. People need to stop these shenanigans.

A game obviously not worthy of the scores is getting high scores. It's Halo all over again.
Gaming journalism is a place where a bag of goodies is a +1 score, and if you throw in a vacation they'll get you as close to a 10 as possible.
Giving the the MGS Saga an Invisible ceiling is a really dirty thing to do, especially because I was really hyped up from their preview which said that MGS4 is one of the most amazing games of this generation, and then comes this a 8/10 review. Whatever, Gaming Journalism is dead, it's hilarious how everything is subjective, and an opinion now, it used to never be like that, you'd rate the product not give into bias.

I disagree, AoC has a huge shot at taking a cozy second place, which ever way you wanna take that. WAR has a biggest shot but the biggest 3 will definitely be WoW, WAR, AOC in that order.
I really do like the game, however the current reviews for the game are quit over rated. Most of the reviewers only play up to and around level 25, unaware past level 50 it's a desert, there's a storming amount of potential for AoC, just not right now.

Funcom hasn't fixed the core mechanics for the mage type, my rank 1 spells do exactly as much as my rank 2 spells, but get this COST 3 MORE TIMES in mana.
PvPing on a Necromancer is ridiculous they should just get rid of the class all together. Half of my our feat tree doesn't work, Mark of the devourer does nothing past 2/5. I'm happy your enjoying the game but I am obviously pissed I rolled the wrong class.

AoC is no WoW killer by any means. Level 32 Necromancer here and the game is so broken past level 20 it feels more like a chore to play, give this game 6 months to a year to evolve and then it might not feel so demanding, however right now avoid this game like the plague.
I value Riptens reviews above all others however after eurogamers debacle and many other gaming sites it seems that professional gaming journalism is so ridiculous biased or completely fundamentally lacking that why bother investing my time into reading peoples garbage reviews. There used to be a time when Reviewing games was done with finesse, now all they ever do is rush the first damn review out to get hits on their website, pathetic.

To a website that gives 9's and 10's out like Candy to Xbox 360 games (excluding NG2 because of the significant issues) I find it to be bull, open your eyes buddy.
NG2- Serious graphic issues, significant slow down and broken camera.

They keep doing these previews saying "it's one of the best games ever" and then Eurogamer and EDGE BOTH SAY the same thing in their previews and deliver a 8. I expect a 8.8-9.3 from 1up.
