No it said the RAM and the core processor together was $188. Sony and MS said they were both making a profit on the consoles day 1.

Has much as I love their games, I am actually happy with the direction they are taking. They are making a lot of very interesting moves that can really change gaming and make it better.

Well it is Linux and I am pretty sure they said it would be open source. If that is true then I am sure you will have support for tons of applications. They also said you could put it on your own hardware so putting it on a laptop seems perfectly fine. I really don't think they would release something that couldn't be used as a stand alone OS, but I could be wrong. Hopefully more information comes out soon.

@ShwankyShpanky

That isn't how it works.
720p is 1280 * 720 = 921,600 pixels
900p is 1600 * 900 = 1,440,000 pixels
1080p is 1920 * 1080 = 2,073,600 pixels

I think part of the problem is that they really don't know HOW games are made or how much work it takes. They don't care and just assume they should get whatever they want. People are even very critical of indie games that have 2-10 guys working on them and compare them to games made by 100+ people and million dollar budgets, it just doesn't make sense.

That does not make any sense. 8 core 2ghz cpu is still 2ghz. The core frequency is not added or multiplied by the cores.

OS is operating system. Basically that software that runs everything. 1GB OS means that it only takes 1 gigabyte of RAM, so even though the ps4 has 8GB 1 of them is used by the OS, leaving 7 for games.

Quality > Quantity.

@Kurylo3d
AA takes up a lot at 1080p. Max Payne 3 alone will take 2GB. Most of the time I do turn settings like that down but it would be nice to be able to have everything all the way up.

I know what you mean. My 570 just doesn't have the vRAM for most current games :( I am leaning towards the 770 but if the 780 is that much better I might have to get one. I still am curious about AMDs new cards but if they don't come out till the end of the year I don't know if I can wait lol.
