It's funny how DLSS and FSR and frame gen were highly anticipated and welcomed in games on both PC and console. Then recently Switch 2 having DLSS is met with praise, but every time there is an article about PSSR then and only then do we see an outcry against upscaling.
PS+ has been on fire this year.
Because AMD chip sales show that vgcharts is reporting that Xbox has "sold" more Xbox's than AMD has "shipped" chips, which was also recently noted by Strauss Zelnick who claimed that Xbox was only around 25m in November when vgchartz said Xbox was over 30m.
Xbox is being over tracked by over 5 million units at this point. I believe that NPD/Circana USA/North American tracking is responsible for the vast majority of the over track.
NA sales are probably closer to 12.5m than the 16.7m they report here.
Lets put this into perspective.
In three days FF16 sold 3,000,000 on PS5.
In 8 months on PC the game sold 600,000.
PS5 clearly outperformed PC.
Obviously a game that stayed on the top ten then regularly returned to the top 10/20 and then released on PC would have sold more than .5m more than the first week sales.
Final Fantasy 16 Sold 3 Million Copies During Launch Week
"Square Enix said the milestone includes both physical and digital sales on PlayStation 5."

That was a picture of the PC app...
Is that better or worse than the people who insist on telling the people who have a Pro that they shouldn't have bought it in every topic and can't just mind their own business and let people be happy?
Monster Hunter is a pretty good reason as well.
That's not even an accurate description of the changes, yes that is one of the improvements, but the fact that it's double the framerate is huge. And the PSSR mode hasn't even been implemented yet, so it's going to get even better in a few weeks.
PS5 Pro is only going to get better. The first wave of games were all games that had PS5 Pro features patched in. When games that are designed around it from the ground up start coming out the games are only going ...
Well, I agree that Xbox numbers are massively inflated, Take Two boss Straus Zelnick revealed that Xbox sales were around 25m in November which lined up with AMD's chips shipped numbers while VGChartz had Xbox over 30m.
At least PlayStation and Nintendo reveal their sales so VGChartz can only undertrack them until the numbers are officially revealed.
10:1 in Europe
This is actually kind of a dumb take, "good games" of all types fail all the time.
The fact is that of the 4 major players Nintendo, PlayStation, Steam and Xbox they sell by far the least of them, as well as fund the least projects compared to Nintendo and PlayStation.
And they brag about paying the devs as if they are doing them a favor by paying their bills owed to the devs and of course lets not talk about the 30% they take off the top. It's the devs supporting them, not the other way around, no other company would talk about it like this.
I think they reported this wrong, the SX was third in unit sales and second in dollars sales. Not second in sales and third in dollar sales as reported here. That follows the pattern of past months and just makes logical sense.
Your making a lot of assumptions.
We know that many/most of the staff went with him to this new studio, and seeing as people never knew anything about the game they can't make the assumption that they didn't just take the whole project and make it internal.
I'd like to point out that the information regarding the studios closure that was widely reported was clearly incorrect with a bias against PlayStation.
I look forward to seeing what they cook up.
I really like the game, the boss fights were some of the best in any game I have ever played, I loved the cinematic style they used. And even though it had DLC 16 felt complete unlike 15 which had DLC just for the sake of having DLC and always felt unfinished even if you had all the DLC.
The PlayStation black and white controllers were the first and second best selling last year, the black and white one traded spots on the monthly charts, and the Portal was the best selling by dollar sales.
But it's not Xbox, so, I'm not really sure what your cheering for.
And I noticed this.
SaGa Frontier 2 Remastered announced for PS5, PS4, Switch, PC, iOS, and Android.
So, it seems it was true that Square Enix is going multiplatform. But, notice that there is a device missing, Xbox. This is the third or fourth game they have announced since the multiplatform statement that was on everything but Xbox.
