I hadn't been experiencing too many problems since I got it, two weeks ago...X1. Last night however it was ridiculously laggy, kept booting me out of the game, restarting with "button hints" resetting my soldiers load-out, I was getting the one-shot kill, and getting killed by the one shot kill...it was bad. I love the game though, but man it is a mess right now!
Your thoughts are completely wrong. An empty shelf means empty sales...unless they are trying to drive and create a demand...ala Apple...Nintendo...etc..etc...
I guess that explains the 360 outselling the PS3 and 4. Sony screwed up by not having enough stock. The week head start doesn't help if you don't have consoles to sell after the initial launch.
It's a serious logistical mistake for Sony yes, to not produce enough consoles, for after launch. They knew their pre-orders in advance. They screwed up.
Even though it is "last gen" 360 outsold PS3 by a wide margin as well, don't forget there are two very very viable platforms out there yet. It will only bolster next-gen sales...such low PS3 sales, which would be butter to the bread as far as profit goes is not good.
@Blakhoode
Or maybe the kids actually want a X1 or their parents want to but them a X1. Add to the fact that X1 is out advertising PS4 with in game graphics and such...and it makes a huge difference in public perception. Hence when you go to a store and see a X1 on the shelf, or you come back it might not be, it creates the illusion of demand. Economics 101.
PS4 being sold out at the moment is a good thing, not coming around until after the holidays is a majo...
I don't need to play it on PS4, it's excellent on X1. It also has 32 v 32, which the PS4 lacks. Even if it is a better experience graphically, you're not experiencing the game the way it should be experienced.
Disagree away, every other positive comment about X1 gets them...disagreeing would be denying the truth though.
@belking
I have to agree 64 players and amazing. I had no problem with visibility in the campaign or online. No problems with crashing or network issues. Funny thing I play it on X1. It is amazing and funny considering all the people who would lead you to believe otherwise.
I'm not sure why you have two bubbles but I gave you one for that. People really get worked up over it. God forbid MS came to the party prepared and knew they could push the consoles to homes this holiday.
At any rate what does it matter? It matters because parents will buy what is on the shelf for their kids. It is economics. Sony made a logistical error and under estimated the competition. They should have had a better handle on demand and the ability to supply it.

Okay I'll bite. It is idiotic for anyone to think that MS would sell the Xbox brand after investing billions into R&D into X1, let alone marketing, development, logistics, resources...etc...etc...but hey as a Sony fan you can hope.
Realistically, it isn't going to happen. However, here on sony4g.com where reality is so skewed this deal is already set in stone. Crawl out from under your rock, grab a sense of realism and think to yourself if t...

I didn't even take the time to click on the links or read them. That is how much I actually care. I am glad you spent time typing your rebuttle.
Thank you. A bit of learning curve.
I think it is great. It isn't perfect. Need to be able to arrange pinned tiles easier. Need to able to access, games, demos, and other easier...I still haven't figured out how to navigate Explorer with voice. Need to be able to access hard drive data. Need more explanation of some apps...Skydrive Integration and Upload Studio...etc...etc. Overall, I love it, it is a step in the right direction. It is just a little rough around the edges. My Kinect voice recognition is 98% perfect. It ...
Oh so that disputes everything I've read.. It's technically possible but it doesn't, yet. No mention of that anywhere on Sony4G.com.
@oner
So all those articles are from reputable sources? I can't find Bloomberg, NYT, Forbes, Financial Times in those four you listed.
Surprising.
Can PS4 do 64 player battles on Battlefield 4 yet?
Imagine that a Sony fan disagreeing with a positive Xhosa article. On N4G.com even. Color me shocked!
How is X1 too big? It is barely larger than my Comcast box...another case of drinking Sony's cool-aide.
As far as missteps regarding check-in, backwards compat, HDD, Indie Publishing...unless you have lived under a rock...check-ins are out, backwards compat Ps4 can't either, each box is a devkit, HDD I can add to it via USB3.
Ultimately you just disagree with the way MS does things. That's your opinion.
Calling X1 fans losers is a...
Thank you. I agree 100% with you. I see no reason to visit this site anymore. Lies, mis-information from so called reputable gaming sites...no good. Only to push Sony's agenda further. Crazy thing is...the lead up to release had a lot of rumours about UI issues. I've experienced none. BF4 is 900p and 64 players per game online...and all EA multis are 1080p...nice way to spread bullshit. Let me know when BF4 for PS4 gets to 64 online....make fun of cloud servers all you want, if it all...
Oh, so my opinion is stupid? Because I'm right? Digital downloads are not as high bit-rate? So a 50gig game isn't going to be the same one I got on a Blu-Ray disk? Hmm...tell millions of Steam Users that. As far as streaming goes....millions of Netflix, Amazon, and On-Demand customers will also tell you differently. Disk based media is old tech. I am not saying Blu-Ray does not look better than streaming it does not, however for millions of people around the world streaming is perfect...
I've got all the issues on X1. It is unplayable! Lag, rubber-banding, kicked out the game completely to the home screen..the whole game not just the game menu. I can't even finish a multi-player. Sound cutting out, one-shot kills, it is horrible. China Rising really f'ed it up, something did...it was working fine until the past few nights.
