Even though I was anticipative leading up to launch, I couldn't help but worry that something would go wrong. I should have more faith in Hideo Kojima: if he signs off on something, it's worth your time.
It's interesting that Keighley indicated that the game isn't exactly an MMO, because the way he talked about it certainly made it sound that way.
Some of the community work coming from the PSU forums is absolutely phenomenal; the industry could learn from the fans with this kind of material.
The article says, "Why make the cool new Dante look like a poser of the old one?" This clearly indicates that the attempted look for the new Dante makes him look like a poser of the old Dante, and in no way does it imply that the old Dante is a poser.
As the article mentions, the call backs to the original inspiration in the established reboot itself are essentially good references. If you had finished the game, you would already know that, since the article doesn't complain about it, the white hair isn't the issue, but rather the DLC is.
After playing the demo, I was impressed with the way that Ninja Theory managed to make the game look after it said that the game runs at 30 fps. Even though Enslaved was a small step backwards from Heavenly Sword, DMC more than makes up that lost ground.
From the way that things have gone, I highly doubt that the guys at EA are really looking at consumer opinions on the matter...
Indeed, it's to be expected. It's also great to see a studio improve so much on something that was grossly successful on its own like GTA IV was.
Rockstar is really killing it with its titles this generation, and it has only grown and developed stronger narratives, stronger characters, and stronger gameplay as the titles have launched. Hats off to Rockstar for showing me that the old, one-faceted Grand Theft Auto games, though still good and influencial in their own merit, were only the tip of its talented iceberg.
Wow! Wal-Mart is getting all of my money.
After playing PSASBR, I've been proved wrong in terms of how the game establishes itself. My biggest issue was the lack of significant from the map itself. I only compare in this point purely for example and not representation: in Super Smash Bros, the maps have a bottomless pit of which all players must remain cognisant. PSASBR uses the maps themselves as the element of urgency, keeping the player aware of the map in the event of a dangerous obstacle that'll break combos or sway the ...
It's through the PlayStation Retail site. It gives vendors options to complete quizzes for points towards buying discounted PlayStation products and games. It's not GameStop or Game or anything like that. It's officially run by PlayStation itself.
I'd be happy with one or the other, but both would be stupendous.
We can only hope it's true, and some FF influence would be superb.
Oh, it wasn't necessary, really. But, it also probably wouldn't have appealed to many new people. Point being, the industry itself is too action-oriented and impatient to properly support an old-fashioned Resident Evil title.
Resident Evil 4 introduced me to the series, so this gameplay style is kind of unique to me. It's understandable that the old style is close to the hearts of many fans, but this style is much more fresh and useable in modern gaming. It's hard to really create fear in this generation, but tension is much easier, and it essentially does the same thing that fear once did: bottleneck the limiting controls to create hectic tension. Resident Evil 6 is on the right track, but it still has a ...
^ Fact. It's without reason to toss aside an easy project like this, especially since this remake is a highly-sought and popular title. If Square-Enix really has some way to look organized and functional again, it better show its worth at TGS, or GTFO.
I sure as hell hope not!
It's weird to now be seeing copyright issues show up. First the Ground Zeroes trailer and now this. The gaming industry keeps getting more and more complicated.
I've always been a fan of the platforming in these games, but it can easily become too much. Since this game seems longer than most of the others, it's unfortunate that there's not as much to the tried and true formula that is God of War. #StillGoingToLoveThisGame
