I know what you are saying and maybe i didnt elobarate enough on the similarities of the games but if you take away all of the fancy sh1t that came with MGS4 it is esencially the same gameplay, i have played all of the mgs from the ps1 to the ps3 and that is my opinion.
Looks like certain types of people have it in for this game before its even released, end of the day those who are going to buy it will love it and thats all that counts. Funny thing is mgs 4 was more or less the same type of game play as number 2 and 3 only with updated visuals yet everyone said that was a good thing, what gives?
Because ps3 owners live in this fantasy world where they think the console will shift 15 million units by christmas
Apart from MGS4, what games have been released on the ps3 that you cant get on a x360? mmmmmmm......
All i see coming this year is teddy ruxspin planet, resistance 2 (a sequel to a very avergage game) and motorstorm 2, another sequel to a very average game. Please see metacritic for scores

The only scale i associate with the ps3 is the lime scale building up from the lack of use

The real headline should be how does the ps3 differ from an x360? One is a overhyped piece of george forman looking, blu ray player, the other is a games console

Yeah your right sonys console will be future proof for the next 8 years, but within 3 years we will see the x720 making the ps3 look dated
Edit:@ excalibur, i think the RROD has helped Sony this time round plus brand recognition but wait until the end of December and lets see which console is outselling the other (from now till then)
Its a matter of opinion on who has the best line up this holiday season, personally the only game that interests me on the ps3 is R2 and white knight chronicals, where as Fable 2, gears 2, left for dead, last remenant, banjo all look like excititing titles on the x360, but thats just my personal opinion
So how do you account for the wii? and the dreamcast was on the market for a year and was overtaken by the ps2 more or less immediatley...............
Sounds like fighting talk, personally i wouldnt say anything until you have overtaken the competition in terms of sales and popularity.
Its no big deal waiting expecially when its preparing an upgrade to an unrivaled live experience
