I don't know why would they make such a terrible business desicion. Leaving MS was the best thing that happened for them. Running back to the last competitor in the market would be horrible.
Sony had the best and most awarded exclusive games of 2018.
But PS4 outsold Switch by more than 5X in the world in 2018. Nintendo has always been strong in Japan with handheld devices. Still, for a full console, PS4 is doing very well in Japan and is the #1 console in the world which is more important than a single territory.
Xbox rules the last place in the market.

This is marvelous! Is amazing not only to see how Playstation is dominating this generation but how their first and second party studios have evolved /matured so much.
Everyone though Guerilla Games was done and then BOOOM... Horizon Zero Dawn. Everyone though Santa Monica was done and then kaboooom... God of War.

With The Last of Us 2, Death Stranding, Ghost of Tsushima and Days Gone releasing in 2019 on PS4 I totally doubt that.

PS4 has dominated this Gen since it was released. The best thing is that it dominated with games and not with PR talking.
Xbox tried practically everything... They put their games on PC and for free on game pass and yet nothing helped. Nintendo did a great job getting second place on the market.
2018 was an amazing year. Can't wait to play The Last of Us, Death Stranding, Days Gone and Gosth of Tsushima.
Too soon for Playstation. There is still life and amazing games coming to the PS4.
