GT and Forza are both great series. Forza 3 was the best racing sim for the last year... and GT5 will be after that (or it should be, given the extra year it had for development).

Is it so wrong to have that view?

I feel bad for the people that did not get Forza 3 simply because of Fanboyism. Vise versa for Forza fans who don;t get GT5 because it is PS3.

True racing fans will have played and enjoyed Forza, and will be just as happy to g...

The difference is that I have what I want. I have had it for a year now.

I am glad you think GT5 trumps Forza 3 in "every other area". You must know this because you played the game... and not through fanboy articles and blogs.

Waiting gives the developer more time to make a better game. But at what cost? What happened to the dominance that PS2 had with the console market? Fighting for second place? Epic disaster. Could Sony try any harder to fall so much?

I had a PS2... I loved GT4. I was chomping at the bit to get a PS3. But where was GT5 one year ago? One more Sony customer lost? No biggie to the fanboys here? Sure... except that there were millions more like me. PS3 market share is a fr...

If Kinect did not have enough games for launch.... people would probably complain in an editorial. "So few initial games... developers must not have confidence in Kinect."

They have lots of games... and they complain.

Choice is good. Adults and kids know how to chose. They may pick a bad game, but they won't care, will have some fun... and you can go back to your RPG's and shooters.

As the author said... Kinect will...

As a late comer to consoles (GT4 and SOTC are two of the best games ever...), I must say that I am very disappointed with Sony and GT5. A year ago I bought my Xbox 360 (for Forza 3). I was weighing the pros and cons of each console, and at the end of the day it was Forza vs GT5 for me... and prologue just didn't do it for me. Gt5 was just seeing delay after delay... so I pulled the trigger on the "sure thing." I am 110% sure I made the right decision.

I don't want motion control for my "hardcore games". Motion control is for my wife, kids, and "party games". I just want something that is easy to set up and that doesn't require fiddling with mutliple controllers/batteries/chargers .

Kinect for me.

People seem to expect everything to be given to them these days. If the developers knew that they could not charge for this DLC to cover costs of development (salaries of employees)... it would be at a much lower quality level, and it would NOT get a 9.5 review.

Quality is not cheap.

Welcome to life.

It is fun, it has the graphics, it has the story, it has replayability, it has great voice acting, characters you really care about, an astonishing universe, and I just keep wanting to come back for more. Being able to carry over my character and the story between 3 games is also just epic.

It is the best game I have ever played (over UFO: enemy unknown, BG2SOA, and others).

It has raised the bar with gaming for me... my eyes are now open and I now look ...

I think EA needs to start charging a specific fee for MW2 (and soon black ops) so that the rest of us 360 players are not forced to pick up the financial slack. That game is a huge financial burden on XBL.

Right now people like me (who use multiplayer occasionally) are paying more so that pimple faced teens can play online for endless hours screaming "boom headshot" in Modern warfare.

I have a years subscription to XBL, but as things stand righ...

I agree that the dialogue system was phenomenal in ME1 and 2 (especially 2). It really felt like a movie. ME2 was the most immersive game I have ever played for that reason. People argue that a large inventory system is "more rpg", but I argue that ME2 was more immersive (there is nothing that reminds you more that you are playing a game than spending tons of time swapping gear in a menu).

PLus, in this generation of consoles, the graphics of DAO were just shoc...

What kills me is the people that are already complaining about DA2, yet they have not seen or played the game. Additionally, I laugh at some of the things that people complain about in a game. I even remember people complaining when the price of ME2 dropped.

It is good to see that bioware takes opinion/reviews/criticisms to heart... yet does not obsess over them, and takes everything with a grain of salt. If we all listened to the "loud" fans, ME3 would be an R...

Articles like this remind everyone that the PS3 is doomed to fail. NOt only is the PS3 a poor quality console with outdated tech, it is spiraling lower and lower by the week with lame game offerings. Move is another example of how Sony is giving up in the console wars and just handing victory to Nintendo and Microsoft.

As a once proud PS2 owner, and a continually disappointed PS3 owner... I think I will finally have to give in and buy a 360.

Hmmmm... this sounds more like a "ME1 is better than ME2" article than one that really looks at what makes a game replayable.

My quick-list for re-playability:

1. Gameplay: The most important of all! Is the game FUN TO PLAY? If yes, than there will be a lot of re-playability. ME1 beats ME1 hands down on this one. Combat in ME2 was far more strategic and a hell of a lot of fun. ME1 felt a lot more "run and gun". Feel free to ignore the...

We want it to be less than 100$, we want it to allow 6 gamers to play it at once, we want it to mow our lawn, we want it to run 100% with no lag, etc.

Reality is that the more powerful the system... the more expensive hardware it will need, and thus the higher the cost. Low cost or high performance/features... pick one because you can't have both without increasing cost.

I tilted it just like they did the Xbox 360 in the video.

GOW3: Big scratch, and the game no longer loads, but it is TOTALLY not as bad as the disk in the video. MS sucks.

UC2: Only a smaller scratch. NO performance issues with the disk.

LBP: NO scratch!!!

So this tells all the 360 Fanboys that the PS3 is superior in every way. I would never get a crappy MS console unless I wanted to waste money.

5727d ago 0 agree10 disagreeView comment

To prove the 360 fanboys wrong I actually just tilted my PS3 slim from horizontal to vertical and back while it was loading a disk and it got scratched. My game no longer loads. :(

I am shocked. Sony has let a huge and loyal fan down. I could not believe it. Based on what all of the PS3 fans have been posting... I figured it would be safe. Is it safe? Are the Sony fans lying? Any other PS3 owners willing to try and see if it was just me?
