nonsense, original xbox and start of 360 was fine.
It all changed when Don Mattrick joined, focus was shifted to Kinect and TV, not to mention that DRM hell at the start of the X1 generation. People give Phil Spencer crap all the time, but he inherited a flaming pile of shit. This generation is where he will put his mark, for better or for worse, but I really think the effort is already happening.

@Rhyt

800 feet, not meters

and btw the Xbox controller has a jack connection for Audio/microphone.

Halo was delayed months ago, I really doubt there were alot of early adopters who got a new xbox last week and expected to play halo Infinite.

I find it difficult to really conclude anything from this

@SamPao

"That is seriously impressive for PS5"

Agree.

"sold more on the console that hasn't even launched yet"

How are you arriving at this conclusion, I cant see standalone numbers for Series x/s?

Yeah....or maybe one of the developers found a couple of trillion dollars buried in the garden, and decided to invest it in the game. That would actually also be good news.

"You'll be spending around $100 per GB...."

are you shopping @Goop ?

Why would the PS5 allow itself to install the PS4 version of a game?

@TheEnigma313

" Inflation is not that high"

No not anually, but you have to sum it up over all the years. the 60$ price tag has been in effect since like at the beginning of the 360/ps3 generation. If you want to adjust for the last 14 years, you're looking at a price tag well over 70$.

Not saying that the price should be 70 or over, just that your inflation comment doesn't seem convincing.

good work supporting that industry

While the PS5 is in a better position at release gamewise, I agree that that in general this new generation is hard to get excited about. If you're into spiderman and demon souls, this comming generation is great, however I will problably just be working thru my backcatalogue until the new year.

@Pumblechook

"social media engagement of the public with Xbox posts and videos and PlayStation posts and videos"

Isn't that difficult to judge by, given the two companies are relying on different approaches to marketing(incl social media)?

@ZeroBlue2

yes sounds like 2013-2020 but with partly reversed roles. You expected the nature of man to change completely in 7 years?.

are those 5% with the stand?

Why does the PS5 disc drive, look like an afterthought

1906d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

makes literally no sense that microsoft would customize a SSD, only to have it perform at the speed as an off the shelf SSD.

just by the specs the Series X, should have an SSD thats half the speed of the PS5 so an quick guess would be somewhere in between 4-6 seconds

@CBaoth,

from Playstation.com, the highlighted PS5 features for Demon Souls are:

Stunning visuals:..(play in 4K resolution2) and High Frame Rate Mode (play with a higher targeted frame rate.)
Fast loading
Haptic feedback
Tempest 3D AudioTech on compatible headphones

assuming that BF5 will have faster loading, it isn't really that far off.

I doubt that this will go to court, it's too time-consuming and will just end up costing Sony more money in lawyer fees, and delays, than straight up paying the guy.
