i don't have enough time to look up the actual correct data, but the ps3 sells fine for a 400 dollar console. the ps3 was 600 when i bought mine, and the x360 was 400 when i bought it. the only thing that is making me unhappy about this gen, is that the xbox360 games feel like upgraded ps2 games. the ps3 can not put out their games fast enough. There is no hype outside of the gaming media. Halo 3 posed on mountain dew cans, and yes i stood outside for my copy of Halo 3, which i traded for CODWAW. i know Killzone 2 will be the game to play just like COD will be for the xbox 360 owners. a. you can not afford such a quality machine as the ps3.
or
b. you are unhappy with the xbox360 and need to vent.
killzone 2 will be a monster game. i bought an xbox360 at launch for gears, even though i am not an xbox fan. i knew that gears of war would be a solid game. do yourself a favor, don't hate the game, play it and enjoy killzone 2.
fable 2 lacked what made the first fable so magical(the combat system)i could not last 40 hours much less 10 hours, i traded in fable 2 for fallout 3 for my 360, gives my ps3 a break for blu-ray and mgo. My fallout 3 was bugged so i had to do the xx lb, rb, xx trick in the hard drive menu to cure it. didn't have any problems with MGS4. fallout is easily a solid B, but anything over that is lies. the game is glitchy, but bethesda still got my $60.
something leads me to believe that you both cannot afford the ps3, but it is ok. if you save your money you also can enjoy killzone 2.... and halo 3= a fps with no running ability and no fine aim, yuck.
