It is a good game - and is worth buying - just not at the price of £40. I have mentioned a lack of multiplayer, a linear story, but also that it is still fun to play, great visuals. I can't knock the gameplay because of a lack of multiplayer, that's when the price of it is questionable.
@Bunt - You thought my sites average was 7 because MSXbox rated the game average and therefor I had to???
It's a decent campaign, but very short, very linear and every chapter looks the same. It's enjoyable to play, but it's really a budget title. It's basically an Arcade game with better visuals...
Average on TiX is 6/10, this is slightly better than average to me, but it could have been so much better if they had included something co-op. Firefight/Horde Modes, something extra to do.
It's way overpriced for a short campaign.
It's amazing... I so hope this does extremely well on the 360 and I am hoping for lots of DLC :)
I don't like the new dash, I'd rather they developed something where you could pin your own options and most used content to a front page. If it really was as "Metro" as WP7 the I could take an App and pin it to the start. I hate seeing all the Apps I never use on the App Dashboard
I think as said, this will be one of those either love or hate games - you're right though, it is down to how you play it - and making sure that Kinect is 6ft away to see your whole body because not only can you swing your sabre, use another hand to control your Force, but it needs to see your legs because you can kick enemies too.
I think the reviewers who are not ensuring their kinect is set up properly as misleading - things they are experiencing will not happen if Ki...
So far, ThisisXbox, Xboxer360, CVG, and DigitalSpy have given it great scores and write about what the game really is about - IGN wrote a really bad review mostly based on the reviewers Kinect control experience when it clearly sounds like he doesnt have the device set up properly!
Other sites are talking about what they had hoped in comparison to what they had received, and the sites giving it good reviews are talking about what they are playing. A fun kinect game with a len...
^ that's because it's a good game? There's not a lot wrong with it. You virtually swing your way through a large campaign, and have added mini-games to play to keep you entertained. The mini-games are so short, they're more like fun things to do co-operatively when you fancy chucking something kinect-y into the xbox.
Other than that, JEDI: Dark Side Rising is brilliant. It's very responsive from at least 6ft away as mentioned, great cut-scenes, great drivi...
I loved it, it's the best kinect campaign I played. Too many people are focussing on the dancing side of it which is just a really small optional mini-game in the menu's.
The main game and campaign is JEDI: Dark Side Rising - utterly brilliant.
Kinect Star Wars will be one of those love or hate games, but it IS the best Kinect game I have played ever.
10 Million sounds more like it ! - Halo 4 though will probably have a huge marketing push beyond that. Halo 3 used the popularity of Halo 2 and was the first next-gen Halo. it was going to sell tons (confidentally). Halo 4 on the other hand I think is a risk. New developers, has to live up to a hype, it has to succeed and can't reply on the fan base of previous Halo games - considering that since Halo 3 in 2007, the rest are just average.
I didn't know they spent THAT much on Halo 3 advertising! Blimey !!!
Exactly... I still posted it anway on ThisisXbox - at least with April 1st being on a Sunday this year you know if a Press Release is sent out on a Sunday - something aint right haha
Yeah it's a good job Splinter Cell was mentioned otherwise I'd have had to have googled it haha - it's been THAT long since I could remember why I didn't trade in Splinter Cell !!
Hopefully if they do so happen to make another one it is NOT MW4 !!
Didn't the trickster say in the video he was posing as a 17yr old female and not a 12yr old boy as the text above states???
Although it's pretty sad of a 44yr old to do that - it seems from the video he did not think he was talking to a 12yr old boy...and in some countries 16 is the legal age of consented sexual contact between two people - although 18 to take it online I assume.
I don't think you have caught a predator, but more likely latched on...
Definitely, I love the Elite Content drops and spec ops missions as DLC with new Achievements make this the best CoD DLC ever haha
Wow, I'm impressed - great new screens.
I don't think a bad ending has anything to do with review scoring - it's about all that leads up to the ending that's most important.
I think all this fuss over an ending is sheep mentality - did you hear me cry when I played a really short campaign only to discover no ending at all in Modern Warfare 2 - hell no haha.
I think the ME3 fuss has got out of hand now.
In places it's really quite challenging. Reminds me so much of the original retail Alan Wake.
Agreed, I just wonder why May 4th is pre-order date... there must be some form of announcement due end of April or in the first few days in May?
Wow this is actually an old post on my site from info pased to me from a dev who attended CES and left the dev's he worked for. Now I did put a clue in there without naming him, which makes it obvious as to how he could have known.
The problem with consoles and names is that they change all the time. The code name is Durango, but the next Xbox will heavily tie in with Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 - it's all coming together as one, and Windows 8 is a whole new operati...
