Based on my own experience. I could play my xbox for hours and it is always cool. But when my son plays his PS4, after a hour it gets really hot. And yes it on a hard surface and is in the open. So any kind of performance boost is going to cause more heat.
The PS4 can not handle the heat. The PS4 will not see a boost like the people are talking about here. Just saying

Looks good but to bad it maxes out the PS4 or at least comes close. What's going to happen in a few years. I can`t see how they are going to keep up this gen. Since games are maxing out the hardware already.
