Its not just processing power and terabytes its mainly the game engine. Curent gen consoles are almost there now in many ways so YES next gen should start out within the ballpark of avatar and move beyond that with experience and upgraded engines within 2 years.
Avatar was being made/developed some what 5 or 6 years ago and yes we have made leaps beyond tech of that time and future next gen tech could easily be mind blowing.

its the same game wether single player or up to 4 player coop but there is no multiplayer.
Give Borderlands 1 a rent or buy it used and I think you will love it and hopefully you`ll pre order Borderlands 2:)
I guarantee you all that this game is NOT being developed on ps3 or Xbox 360. This game is and has being developed on the fox engine for next gen. systems, open world and only 1 disk via downloads. Their not aloud to say this is for next gen systems since they havent been officially anounced yet, however they should be announced by march 2013 and then you will see the true/actual hardware its being developed for.

In approximately 13 to 14 months basically 1 yr new next gen systems will be released soooooo its a good safe bet this game will not be current gen or on current gen technology. my guess this demo was on current gen pc tech but the game will look and run better and be on next new gen. as I said probably an est. 80 gig game. regardless im sure it will impress.
