This game still will probably be an exclusive for say 6 months due to a sony signed agreement. but, the reasons remain clear. here's just a few.
As to the original MGS2 and the Xbox. It didn't sell as well on the Xbox because at the time Splinter Cell had been released on the Xbox and there was nothing and I mean nothing else like it on any other platform and MGS2 seemed like a cheap immitaion or rip off of it. Even the online live demo I watched, (couldn't play as to many people watched), but it was filled with lag, every few minutes. There was some solid play, but lag was very present. But what was even more sad to me b/c lag isn't really a big deal was the graphical gameplay. Once I saw a character walk right through another one up close, the kind of way you'd see happen in a ps2 type of game. Then you'll all have a great game. I highly doubt they will as past actual game play has been overwhelmingly disappointing, but we'll see. Their 10 miilionth unit was shipped the first week of December, so I'm sure final sales tally's will come in in a couple weeks and we'll see that the Xbox 360 has sold 10 MILLION UNITS!!
Actually, Nintendo's sales figures against sony's worldwide is more like 3 or 4 to 1. I believe it's currently at 2 million units sold vs sony's 500,000 to 700,000 units sold.

It's in no way a 9 out of 10. This game as all the others so far shows that every developer has to somehow deal with the handicapped 256 megs of memory with only a small addit. avail. from the CPU 256. Other than a few blind loyal followers and I do mean few in my area anyways. Theirs basically nobody seeking a ps3. What else is funny too is that there's still so many places (retail outlets) that still dont even have a playable ps3 to demo anything with.

1,000,000 shipped but only a smidge over 500,000 sold so far. That's really really bad news for sony.
And I do see Positive Xbox 360 press, but mostly Wii press is what's seen and heard. There's not been anything press positive about the ps3 as of late. It's always over priced, under shipped and over hyped as compared to as good as or much better Xbox 360 press reviews.

This was best "new" console for 2006! It only includes 2 consoles, Wii and ps3.
