@Gadmars and Daniel,
If there is any element of leveling it can be classed as an RPG. Hell, you could even (with a bit of a stretch) toss COD into the ARPG category with all of the unlockables it offers with each level.
I had some hope for this one. Sad to see such a low rating.
Ha, I love the title of this article.
Do we know if this is across the board? All systems?
This really isn't as beautiful as I was expecting.. Maybe I'm jaded. I've seen the crash tests for this game and they looked great. This looks alright, I suppose.
I heard about this.. I wonder if it'll have any significant impact on the company.
Seems like a good strategy to save some money (accidental or not). The biggest issue with today's gaming climate being mostly online you miss a lot of quality online play because people have likely moved on from the games that you're just getting to.
While Lukas has been doing his best to piss me off since I posted this article, I have to agree with him here. Regardless of final output a good game is going to be a good game.
@SlapHappyJesus Whats to stop the vise versa of your scenario? I have a PC and consoles for that exact reason.
I have nothing against "PC elitists" nor "Console Fanboys" (not a bash on either, simply what they've been labeled). I just like games.. Plain and si...
Thank you! Finally, someone reads the article!
This really isn't a PC or Console bash guys and gals. Its simply a breakdown of whats going on in the industry and what it may mean for the PC world positive and negative.
Go ahead, flame all you'd like. At least we know there are some intelligent people in our midst.
Thank you for judging my article before reading it. I greatly appreciate your insights.
I'm really intrigued to get my hands on it... but I can't imagine it being as good as they promise. I guess we'll see.
I had a very similar experience with the XB1 controller. When I first picked it up I didn't like the bumpers at all.. Now that I've adapted to the "knuckle bump" I freaking love it! Its an absurdly comfortable controller.
Like you, I hated the DS3.. I'm still not sold on the whole touch pad of the DS4 but I absolutely think the overall feel of the controller is vastly improved.
That's what I was going to say. I've had my gaming binges that lasted much longer than this guy.. I wouldn't point to gaming as a cause until all other factors were taken into consideration. This is just media trying to blame crap on video games... Again.
@Insomnia: You say that as though Sony is the only company making good games. I have both systems and can honestly say I prefer the Xbox One at this point. Maybe that'll change in the future due to quality of titles but I wouldn't be so quick to judge that "the choice is obvious." Both systems have their strong points and make amazing games. This generation of consoles is phenomenal, regardless of your fanboyism.
Amen to that!
I was just talking to a co-worker about how amazing its going to be trying to keep up with the "live" events that are going on in the Destiny world. I can't wait to see what they create with this franchise.
SHH!
Second that... I don't think I can afford this year. At all.
Unfortunately I would have to agree.
Pretty much the only thing I care to do in this iteration is "Squads"
I guess I know where I'm headed after work!
