are you thick or something all i said was that the eyetoy could do it or any webcam for that matter i am not knocking the kinect at all just stating a fact that any camera can do this.

can i just say that the ps eyetoy could do this i am not knocking the kinect in anyway just pointing it out or any webcam for that matter as demonstrated on one of the old gadget shows.

it does not matter the game will still be running at 30 or 60 frames per sercond no matter what the hz of the tv is all it will do is appear to run smoother not faster.
when Sony or Nintendo says Shipped they mean they have sold to the retailer which means they have been paid already so they are not lieing.
this may not apply to the software or peripherals i am not sure on that one.
when MS says shipped they have not sold to the retailer they have to wait for the retailer to sell there product so they can get there money that is the difference i am not bashing MS this is just the TRUTH

hz = the tv's refresh rate
games run in frames per second not in hz per second
so if you play a game on a tv that has 240hz refresh rate it will appear smoother and sharper but still be running at 30 or 60 frames per second.
games run at 30 or 60 frames a second not in hz so you can run a game on a 240hz tv in 240hz but the games will still be running at 30 or 60 frames a second just look smoother because of the tv's refresh rate.
i dont have a kinect but if what you are saying is true about the 5 minute setup everytime you restart the game this to me sounds unacceptable also the space issue is a big concern to me also the lag issue would depend on how bad that is as i have not seen it i cannot make any judgement myself.
