I left a comment on the news article, but as all comments are screened by oppressors of free speech, I doubt it will get published.

Needless to say, I am not entirely pleased with this "journalism". There is supposed to be integrity in journalism, but I'll be damned if I can find any in this sensationalist article. But then, this is the Daily Mail, a paper that has pretty much single-handedly led a crusade against games for the best part of 15 years or more. I guess int...

Possibly needs more Starbucks (or other such over-priced "coffee" shop.) And a beret. And, as you said, a scarf. And a soul patch.

Jason knows his games and gadgets, unlike most of the hosts on shows of this ilk. His face is in Assassin's Creed, too.

Funny to me, but two slightly older games, those being The Darkness and Lost Odyssey, emotionally engaged me on a far greater level than their two examples. I think perhaps they should have picked better examples than one game that is driven by a weak script and another game that is driven by player choice.

Iain I can understand as he is an avid gamer, but teen soap opera bint? I find it hard to believe that she'll be there as anything other than eye candy.

Aaaand some pics. Because the internet would probably demand some proof.

It's a bit of an odd day when you post pictures of a vacuum cleaner on a gaming website, but hey...

Pic one is of "the Chief", pic 2 is of the remote on the handle, pic 3 is of the LED display.

And with that, this topic is even further derailed.

It has a remote control so you don't have to lean down to the main unit to control the power and the amount of suction. It's a bit of a nerd thing really, which is partly why I bought it.

I actually recently bought this exact vacuum cleaner, and it bears merely a passing resemblance to the Chief. The Chief doesn't have a Blue LED display on the top of his helmet, or a remote control like this vacuum does though. :)

Let's not mention to the hack that wrote the article that the game takes place during an unnamed year, and features a fictional conflict in a unnamed Saudi Arabian province (but judging by it's location on a real map, is south of the holy city of Makkah al-Mukarramah, or Mecca if you are western) as well as Western Russia and Azerbaijan (none of which could really be confused for Iraq as they are all entirely different countries), eh?

ANYONE who ever takes anything posted on UK:R with anything less than a grain of salt needs their head examined. It is a satirical site. Granted that not everyone finds it funny (good ol' British humour doesn't stick with all), but if anyone actually reads into what they post without picking up on any of it, then my only suggestion for them would be to perhaps take a break from the internet and get some fresh air before their next attempt at ham-fistedly smashing their keyboards in vitriolic ...

It seems to me to be an overly pointless and petty excercise, this PR game. On the one hand, I do see NT's argument (thanks again for the clarification :)) and can appreciate where they are coming from, although I believe they shouldn't have said anything and kept a somewhat professional air about themselves as their point is somewhat insignificant.

On the other hand, I can appreciate Bizarre's stance that at the core of it, other than what is clearly manipulated (cars driving ...

As much as I admire him for what he has done for the industry and the strategy genre as a whole, I can't help but feel he is being ever so slightly patronising towards console gamers, inferring in a way that we aren't capable of comprehending or being able to play the games.

I understand the underlying root of his message, in that the technology is now here to capture a new audience in a genre that has primarily relied on less than overwhelming graphics to get by (in most cases...

Thanks for the clarification. :)

To me though, it sounds as if Ninja Theory are being more than a little pedantic about the matter. Theoretically, the footage shown is 'in game' regardless of any overlays, filters, etc (because not even Ninja Theory can claim to be above that, from what I understand it's a *very* common technique). Post processing as far as I can tell can also be over-layed over existing programming whilst in game (which again, Kung Fu Chaos seemed to do with i...

Vojkan, you do realise that Ninja Theory are a 'new' studio and that Heavenly Sword is their 'first' game, right?

As they are now, they have never made Xbox exclusives. As their previous iteration (Just Add Monsters) however... different story. They made one game; Kung Fu Chaos. That can hardly be (and somewhat obviously not be) deemed plurally as "exclusive titles".

Anyway, I find it incredulous that they can state that the PGR4 intro isn't in game bec...
