Not trying to be a dick here but BF4 beta was good too, then BF4 released.
Pretty sure most devs live in a bubble.
BS it isn't by design, if it was random we wouldn't keep getting the same s*** week after week.
And cheaply, which is probably the most important factor.
If games were cheaper digitally then I might be more inclined to buy them, as is I can go to my local supermarket and get them at least £10 cheaper.

If review embargoes worry you then don't buy it on release day.
