Everyone needs to keep their pants on. When Capcom and SNK did their crossovers, SNK's game "SVC Chaos" came out way later than Capcom's game.
Namco is busy with finalizing Tekken Tag 2 and Soul Calibur. Wouldn't surprise me if development is well under way.
This is nothing new, they did the same thing in Soul Calibur IV, 5 for Vader and Yoda, and the outfits on top of that.
Just Capcom seems to do it more.
