Since Capcom has lost the plot, it's up to Koei to take the crown and rescue this type of game. Ninja Gaiden meets Demon's Souls meets Onimusha.
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!
I'm okay with this so long as Koei doesn't rely on the framerate option as an optimization crutch.
This game looks GREAT
Yet another stupid troll comment from a bored PC gamer. Don't you have a thousand backlogged Steam games to never play?
Yes, my second favorite as well, only beaten out by FFX.
SOtN is in the top-10 PS1 games ever made.
I still go back and play it occasionally on my PS3.
(cool story, bro)
Funny, that's the exact thought that went through my mind when I read the headline and summary. Then I looked at the website and realized that it's a Steam-centered Kotaku derivative, and it all became clear to me.
Outland is a good one, too. Played a ton of it back on PS3. Housemarque is one of the best developers out there, IMO.
Apparently I'm in the minority here. I've spent the last 20+ years enjoying turn based combat in Final Fantasy games. I'm looking for something different for a change; I found the combat in the Platinum Demo to be engaging and enjoyable.
I replayed the Iron Giant battle 5 times before I finished the demo, each time finding new ways to finish him off quicker. The Z-targeting will take some getting used to in certain environments, but I like the direction of the gam...
I want that controller! Dayyumm, Sony, start producing clear / smoked DS4's and I'll scoop them up!
Stupid developers locking features because they want parity with consoles. PC gamers will always find a way.
No Driveclub? Wtf? The racing game that set the standard for graphics in a racing game this generation? Preposterous! Thanks for saving me a click.
I'm cautiously optimistic about this one. I'm hoping they retain the atmosphere and level nuances that the old titles have in spades. I also hope the PC version will not be hampered by console development, especially regarding the mapmaker's resource limitations.
This is great for gamers; Sony really botched a great opportunity to include this feature.
Day one
@ Hoffmann
Multiplayer has been a core component of DooM since it's inception back in the 90's. DooM was the first FPS that really made deathmatch popular in competitive arenas.
@ Sciurus
I've watched a few videos where the beta tester stated that they felt the weapons were pretty balanced and that it felt like there was an effective answer against each one. Hopefully this is truly the case.
What's with the all-caps headline?
I think this is a good thing; Forza with Oculus support will be the perfect competitor to Gran Turismo & PSVR.
You become a black hole and your job is to collect energy for the rest of eternity.
Devs over at UbiSoft couldn't finish the first Incursion, but got pissed at fans who took advantage of glitches to beat it.
