The idea is this, ship the game with gimped visuals, so all the pirates get the "Beta" version, then a day or two later release the "dx11, or gold version" for those with game code, it may help a bit, but those pirates are dastardly bastards, and will of course have the "full" version out as soon as it's released.

The only, ONLY way, Digital Distribution would work on consoles is if the file would be downloaded in some type of highly compressed zip type format and weighed in at about 1-2 gb. Then it would be coupled with some type of disc or possibly a chip (think Nintendo DS size)
Downloading 10-30gb games is not something most people are intrested in, nor do many with bandwith caps have the ability to do.
The other option would of course be some proprietary disc ...

on its own it was a solid7.75
if you want it to look and play like the pc version, then it won't be coming to this gen of consoles
i.e. in hd, with fully rotatable camera and dazzeling spell effects with lots and lots of mobs on screen
if you are okay with sub hd, fixed camera and 20-30 frames, then sure, i don't see why not,
it would be best to wait for next gen for this one

killzone 3's sales, it was that awful beta, with server crashes and terrible aliasing everywhere
the game is crap no doubt and i have long since uninstalled it, but performance wise and graphics wise, it utterly and completely demolishes both consoles, it runs at 90 frames per second maxed out in full true native 1080p
the console versions are a mess of jaggies, blurred textures and pitiful 600p sub standard resolutions
game is going to be VERY VERY good...
Demons souls stands as one of the best games this gen, not just rpg, but all games in general imo
That said, this game is not one you play for the graphics, Dark Souls will look about the same/slightly better than demons souls
This game is, without question or hesitation, a day one purchase, collectors edition if available please for me!!
