Thanks for taking time out of your day to write this. I like your approach and logic. It makes sense, and hearing it from someone who actually has knowledge in the field is a refreshing change of pace from the norm.

I want to read an explanation of Nintendo's situation from a commenter with a Business Degree. What would you do in this situation? What would the correct course of action be? Is Nintendo doing it right now? or should Nintendo be concentrating their efforts in other areas?
It seems like people fail to remember the 5 billion in cash reserves Nintendo has. They can and will pick it back up either in this generation or the next; they are not stupid. So "game-over" is a poor choice of words. If anything, this will force Nintendo to work even harder, and hopefully develop new and groundbreaking titles of which we have already started to see with Super Mario 3D World. I have nothing but optimism for the company.
