Nintendo consoles are all about quality & fine gaming. SW1 sold that much despite being equivalent to PS3/360 in terms of raw power.

PS4 lasted full 7 years. Sony kept releasing cross platform games until 2023. So most likely Bend & BP will release crossplatform games (PS5 & PS6).
I still fail to understand why would Microsoft bother to release a next generation console, if the current one failed miserably to the previous one, which is basically considered the worst performing Xbox ever.
Just be a third party publisher! That would put Microsoft Gaming division in a much better position!

I don’t think the PlayStation 4 and the Switch really were competing with each other. The PS4 was a true home console, while the Switch was a hybrid portable system. Personally, I own both the Switch 2 and the PlayStation 5 Pro, I enjoy the PS5 Pro at home and use the Switch 2 when I’m on the go.
