Depends on the quality of the game if the game uses a retro style and adds nothing then yes but if it does that and add new mechanics the it doesn’t really matter.
They won’t ever win me back but they can for others if they drop GaaS and make genuinely good games worth buying without overcharging them.
I am put off by everything I see of this game but that being said it won’t be an NMS situation. This game has a fanbase and those people will thoroughly enjoy it when it comes out.
