@EDMIX Holy shit dude that was straight up savage.
This hurts me personally as the game would have been free from any technical issues had it used UE4 over the modified shit tech engine, he'll Prey would have also been way more smoother on consoles and without the BS loading times.
This might be very ignorant for me to say but have Starbreeze ever had a noteworthy presence at any E3?
Because for me personally it's all about the gameplay, I realise there was some gameplay in the reveal trailer but it was very minor until I see a dedicated gameplay trailer or demo I'll hold off on my excitement.
Hmm interesting perhaps it depends on the country you live in, I'm in Australia and whilst it is slowing starting to become more apparent that 4K is the future it is hardly standard, at least not yet.
I don't think the score itself was a problem it's just that either reviewer himself or other reviewers (not sure who to be honest perhaps both) threw a hissy fit and felt they had no right to be criticised which is an incredibly moronic stance to take particularly for gaming in 2017.
If you are smart (unlike me) then wait until 4K TVs are completely standard, although when I got a pro it had nothing to do with 4K but because newer games were starting to run poorly on my PS4.
There's nothing really "unrealistic" about our expectations it's just that reviewers need thicker skin and get used to criticism if they don't I can't see them lasting long in this business. I'm not referring to the article obviously just what needs to be done, stop bellyaching and get on with the job.
I'm sorry but criticism comes with the territory of being a game reviewer if you can't handle perhaps you should find a new job.
Um..............what?
Nope I just miss being able to enjoy games for being games.
Lol IGN Canada desperately trying to repair the damage done by their American counterparts.
Well if it's meant to compete with Destiny and The Division it shouldn't be too surprising.
MS teaming up with EA to make The Old Republic 2 exclusive to PC and Xbox One (or maybe The Old Republic 1 port) with cross play and plenty of microtransactions.
From what I've been told it's more due to Ninty gamers only playing games on Switch that are first party and ignoring third party titles completely. It doesn't make sense for third party developers/publishers to make or port games on the Switch if owners of said platform don't even bother purchasing their games.
Phil Spencer changes his mind on exclusives and will focus more on SP games as opposed to MP games with microtransactions.
Well Miyazaki said the "Soul" series is done and technically there is no Soul in the title so fingers crossed.
Nope fans only criticise something when it is bad. Remember when BF4 came out? Compare that to the reception BF1 came out sure it wasn't all positive but overall people were far more appreciative because the devs took their time to release a quality game compared to rushing out a turd like BF4 and Andromeda.
Tempted to pick this up just cause I mainly game on my consoles nowadays.
I was referring to Dishonored 2, the original had minimal issues due to using UE3, also the shit tech engine is well known engine that is horrible use to use for any developer that isn't id, hell let's not forget RAGE which was the first game (I think) built from the ground up using shit tech engine 5 and made from id itself had horrific issues on PC.
