Yup I agree! I can go back and play classics like Earthbound or A Link To The Past and they still hold up well. The same cannot be said for the majority of PS1, PS2 and Original Xbox games.

Yes, I'm getting a Wii U with my income tax in a few weeks. I'll wait to get PS4 around spring time or something and hopefully both consoles will compliment each other.
I don't know why people thumbed you down. I agree as well, I'm a long time fan of the series since Tekken 2 and I wish they'd just reboot the series. The Tekken series has gotten way to gimmicky now, Mortal Kombat X looks much better.
I'm getting a Wii U next month and it will be my main console until PS4 gets some games worth buying. I'm really looking forward to going back playing classics like Earthbound and A Link To The Past as well.

I'm getting a wii u for the first party games, backwards compatibilty (Never played the Prime series before) and the Virtual Console. I can't wait to go back to Earthbound, A Link to the past, Super Metroid etc.
I watched some gameplay of Mario 3D world on Wii U and it looks so damn fun! I think ima switch it up from the usual Sony and Microsoft and take a risk with Nintendo.
If we had backwards compatibility then this wouldn't be an issue.
My hope for the future is that Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft creates streaming consoles where you can play ANY of their IP's from the past, present, future at a competitive price.
I think people are wrong when they say Nintendo franchises wouldn't sell on Playstation or Xbox. Most of us grew up with Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong, Star Fox etc. Sega doesn't have as many iconic series as Nintendo so their games aren't as familiar and relevant with gamers. Nintendo franchises on Playstation and Xbox would sell like Britney Spears in her prime lol!
Yes they do! The leap from PS3 to PS4 is marginal, Uncharted 2 and 3 can go head to head with any next gen game.
I regret selling my PS3. I've been actually wanting to go back and replay the Uncharted trilogy, Bioshock trilogy, South Park, DMC reboot etc. PS3 has an awesome library plus the graphics still hold up!

Yup this will be my return to Nintendo since snes. The Wii U has the best exclusives out hands down and I wouldn't be a real gamer if I didn't get one.
