Linking the user account with their game purchases as PS Plus does is cool and everything. What happens when PS3 gets discontinued? Do all those PS3 plus purchases transfer to PS4? And what happens when that PS3 gasps for its final breath? Sounds like a decent way to lose money. With Nintendo linking to the machine itself, it will always be there again until the machine conks out, at which point Nintendo is fine with fixing and sending back to you. But how long can that last? Either option is...
Fully agreed. Buying a 1TB drive will last most of these pimple faced gamers for years.
If it was a little No Mercy in its style, that would get me to buy it. I've been wanting to toss Pikachu off a ladder and drop an elbow on him. That would be sweet.
As long as Nintendo has a brand, they will be secure. I just picked up a Wii U, and am basking in the glorious gamepad.
Not really. Nintendo makes their money in Japan. Since their portables are doing very well, they have no worries. Pikmin did well its first week in Japan. If it had sold dramatically less than its gamecube counterparts, or there had been no bump at all in hardware sales, then maybe there'd be some cause for concern.
Alot of Wii U hate there buddy. Maybe a break from videogames may be best.
I don't think it has to really be a giant success here in the States. Japan is where Nintendo makes their money, and they've been doing it for a long time with their portables.
Interesting take. A wait and see approach with all new consoles is the way to go.
EA could have used this winter as an oppurtunity to drop all their sports franchises with use of the gamepad. The WiiU has no sports games, and they didn't want to take advantage of this. Poor decision.
