I agree about Sony games- another reason not to buy the PS3 is it's game line up (gran tur(d)ismo HD?!! why?!)
I want new, interesting next gen titles, not PS2 games with better graphics. Sony, show me the games!
yeah, the exact problem with Sony is that they are trying to do a PS2 with the PS3- but this is a very different market with different competetion and TOTALLY NEW areas of gaming. Yet sony keep the same business plan. They want the industry to stay the same, for the PS3 to be slightly better for than the PS2 and for all the gamers to stay the same and buy their crap.
Well sorry sony, you dropped the ball. Things change, you have not.

My father bought a betamax player, I have owned 4 different tape walkmans and 2 cd walkmans, one mini disc player and a PS1. They all broke with in 6 months.
I refuse to buy sony now, and i hate them as a company. they are crooks, con artists, liars and make overpriced cruddy products that instantly break.
and as for their cd spyware... i'm not surprised.

um ok, one is like 8 years old and costs $90 and one is less than a year old and costs between $300 and $400.
This is like saying toasters sell more than xbox- PS2 is NOT in the same league- it is cheaper, older, has more old cheap games and it available EVERYWHERE, ALL THE TIME. I have yet to see a single 360 at my local walmart, so I don't know how people can say the shortage is over. Yet I see stacks of 20/30 ps2's for sale everytime I go in there.

yes, i agree about the overheating. it is way more uncommon than some would have you believe. if they had heating issues, believe me, my 360 would be overheating!

i was listening to metallica yesterday while playing halo 2. this worked REALLY smoothly (especially with the media remote, as thats the only way to jump forward and backwards on your playlist!)
just cue up some tracks and load a game, it will keep playing.

this is weird- i have had no problems and haven't heard about anyone else having any apart from in this article... my games have been running and loading fine and oblivion is working great. similarly i have no crashing or flickering on my video. could these just be unrelated coincidences? it seems odd only some people would have these bugs.

All I know is that my brother-in-law is a HUGE sony fan. he's 17 and has a a job and he lives and dies for playing PS2. Needless to say he want's a PS3 extremely badly, but he can't afford a console for more than $300. So he now comes and plays my 360 whenever he can and is planning on buying one.
He represents A LOT of current PS2 fans, millions of them- that is the problem with the $600 price tag. And what console do you think all these people will buy with their hard earned birt...
