i've never heard of this game. i'll be on as usual though.
I look forward to buying crowbars in my free game of Half-Life 2: Episode 3.
I'd say the 360 looks better due to better lighting and slightly better textures. Would you agree??
the ps3 version definitely has better textures. superior lighting in the ps3 is apparent in the very last shot. i'm just eyeballing but the game looks sub-hd.
I would say that the PS3 version looks slightly better because of the shadows and if you look at the storefront windows, you can see the wares whereas they're not visible in the 360 version. I'd also say they're equally sharp which is contrary to what another comparison had led me to believe.
I was also at that demonstration.
I felt that Gilmore's assessment of the game was just a tad bit condescending but any praise, of which there was much, from a non-gamer, especially one from a film background, is appreciated. I'm glad the festival has recognized a video game as a form of narrative and if there's a game coming out this year deserving of the honor of being the first video game to be featured in the festival's 10-year history, it's L.A. Noire.

It seems it's for the better looking two of the three.
the ps3 looks a lot sharper. what happened? i'll need to see both in motion.
I get the feeling 01net claims are going to turn out to be true but I hope they're not because they're not quite the generational leap I would expect. The touch screen controller doesn't sound too great either unless there's some element of tactility under its sleeve.
Time to roll in the XBL equivalents of farmville and yoville.
I really love Valve's videos.
I had no idea this was coming out.
I've been on the fence with this one.
seriously.
FreePlay is a really good idea. I don't know anyone else that does it. Anyway, I haven't looked at this game much perhaps I'll learn what I need to know when I watch.
Practically identical and what few differences that are present, don't help or hinder the case for choosing one over the other. One thing I thought was worth noticing was the 360 seemed consistently brighter which I thought was typical of the PS3 based on what I've seen from these comparisons before.
I'm looking forward to seeing how great this looks with actual people playing.
disappointed that it's not 2d anymore but it looks great and the authors do make a good point that some of the newer characters would be weird if made into 2d.
while we can't be sure of anything until both handhelds come out, i currently see nothing wrong with the NGP. while i was skepical about some aspects of both the DS and the PSP when they were first announced (two screens and a touch screen being gimmicky, one analog stick, optical medium, etc. i was wrong about some of them...) i think Sony has finally learned from their mistakes and the NGP doesn't seem to have any deal dealbreakers, featurewise. Though not revolutionary, i think it&...
After experiencing DICE's idea of how to join a server, I don't see myself wanting to put launching the game from Steam in the beginning of that already laborious and convoluted process. And that's without any kind of party management.
