What is disturbing about it? I am genuinely curious, and I am not at all hit by this since I provide written content only. I fail to understand how people:
1) Thought copyright laws were going to ignore this for as long as they did
2) Thought that SOPA and PIPA were merely passing clouds without any consequence
3) Never thought of an exit-strategy
Perhaps that's just me tough...
Personally, I think they never get old. I try and give them all a different twist. It's up to the readers to find them interesting though, and if you don't then I've failed.
Foxtrot, you have an idealistic vision of what gaming could become. It is still an industry for children however, the most basic proof is how little advertisers are willing to invest in it. It is still a long way from the movie industry.
You laugh at this and yet most users are unaware that every single aspect of our lives is in a huge database. Oh well, nothing we can do, we are fucked anyway...
Gran Turismo 6 is not a simulator. Try "Assetto Corsa" instead.
Not true, I owned a PS1 back in the day. I did make points, though they don't provide detailed figures.
Yeah, want to do another neutral playthrough now...and post some screenshots.
No. Not happening though I'd love it to.
Don't mind these lists actually, having written a few myself. Always a game I have no clue about like "Project Snowblind." Also, fix your title.
The crack is strong in this one.
Your frustration is duly noted, and I empathise with you.
It still does not change the fact that you posted a news article which is completely unrelated to Video Games on a site which purely concentrates on the medium.
If you are not out to get traffic then why would you do this?
Well, one month left still.
It's 2014 getting traffic this way doesn't work anymore (though it may appear to on the surface). Just a heads up.
Castles or Umbacano dude, seriously...
It's a good rig mate, you'll be playing for the next ten years though performance will gradually decrease.
Well said mate, agree with everything. Odd how your name is Nuka Cola and I've just being going on FO3 8 hours binges...
Right, so you give a massive directory filled with one-liner info, suggest its more informative and accuse me of being a spammer. I looked at the blog (or whatever it is) and its like the yellow-pages, giving company-motto and address. Its useful if I want to ring them up for a job I suppose.
Out of the ones you posted, I can instantly recognise Big Fish, Piranha maybe a few others. Microsoft ownes Big Park while Smoking Gun is ex Relic employees. Blue castle is owned by Capc...
I appreciate your info, and am fully aware of the numerous indipendent/minor studios all over the country. It was mentioned at the beginning of the article that there are over 150 minor studios all over.
However, the point of the article is to highlight the importance of Canada in the gaming industry, by pointing to the fact that some of the biggest gaming studios have long-standing offices in Montreal, Vancouver etc..., while other huge companies, like Bioware of NWN and KOT...
Nope, you aren't wrong; release date for MOH AA is 2002 and its the first time the series came to the PC. Release date for the first COD is one year later.
MOH is originally Spielberg/Dreamworks and it shows.
Okay, don't want to report and be called an asshole again. I will say this, again, for the umpteenth time: "WHO CARES!"
People who have real talent create their own brand, innovate an existing market, do something interesting to change the world. They certainly don't leech on existing products.
Play your games instead of watching this rubbish. I will not care if they all wither and die, and disappear into eternal oblivion.
