I thought that too but it looks pretty certain that steam is about to enable game sharing and there will be many publishers cooperating. There are some advantages for the publishers obviously

I was under the impression that most MP console games do not have dedicated servers, but instead, have player hosted servers. Am I wrong?

I hope ps4 looks better. That would be amazing for me. Xbox for online gaming and ps4 for stunning offline experiences = happy me! I remember hearing the same thing about ps3 being more powerful than 360 and we never really saw a difference. Alright I will say that last of us blew my mind visually!
